The Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in transforming a core financial product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, testing, and delivery of reliable backend services
- Help define and evolve the system architecture in a service-oriented environment
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Deliver high-availability, high-scalability services in a cloud-native environment
- Mentor peers and foster a strong engineering culture
- Drive innovation through new ideas and continuous improvements
- Work closely with product and design teams throughout the product lifecycle
- Support production systems and participate in the on-call rotation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4 years of backend development experience with modern tech stacks
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, or Scala
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ORM tools
- Experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Comfortable working in Kubernetes-based infrastructure environments
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to work end-to-end from concept to production
- Familiarity with collaborative development practices like code reviews and CI/CD pipelines
- Interest in personal finance or experience with consumer financial products
- Familiarity with distributed systems technologies such as Kafka and Docker
- Exposure to full-stack development (React, TypeScript, or similar)
- Prior experience in fintech, digital banking, or financial services
