Senior Accountant Consultant

4-6 Week Project

Pay: $35/hour

Hybrid in Allentown, PA

Overview

A company in the Allentown area is seeking a Senior Accountant Consultant to support key accounting, audit, and year-end close activities. This short-term role requires a hands-on professional who can quickly step in and assist with audit adjustments, fixed asset accounting, and month-end close responsibilities. Experience in construction or project-based industries is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post audit adjustments; update all supporting workpapers
• Process payments through the company’s bank system
• Manage fixed assets and assist with new equipment lease setup
• Respond to audit requests and provide support to external auditors
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Perform flux/variance analysis, including review of December-to-January account changes
• Support W-2 and 1099 processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Senior-level accounting experience required
• Strong understanding of audit processes, month-end close, and fixed asset accounting
• Strong analytical and variance analysis skills
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel
