Regional Credit Manager

Job Summary

The Regional Credit & Collections Manager is responsible for leading and executing credit and collections strategies across a designated territory to drive cash flow, reduce bad debt, and support overall financial performance. This role partners closely with operations, sales, and regional leadership to ensure timely order release, effective credit risk management, and strong customer relationships. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing a high-performing credit and collections team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional credit and collections strategies to meet and exceed financial goals, including reduction of bad debt and DSO
• Partner with Distribution Centers to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant order release
• Work directly with customers to resolve credit issues, negotiate payment terms, and strengthen long-term relationships
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Credit & Collections Specialists to achieve measurable performance results
• Conduct thorough credit risk assessments and proactively manage customer credit limits
• Drive efficient collections processes and collaborate with Operations to recover outstanding balances
• Partner with Regional Presidents and cross-functional teams to resolve escalated credit challenges and improve processes
• Analyze performance metrics and use data to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of progressive experience in Credit & Collections
• Strong understanding of financial metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision making
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to travel up to 20% to regional distribution centers
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a high-accountability, results-driven environment
