Job Description
Our client is seeking a Director of Strategic Industry Programs to lead the planning, execution, and continued growth of multiple industry initiatives. This position combines business development, program management, and stakeholder engagement while working closely with internal leadership and external partners. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and leading collaborative projects from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage strategic industry programs and identify opportunities to expand participation and revenue.
- Develop business models, forecasts, and program plans to support organizational initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, partners, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
- Facilitate working groups and committees by coordinating meetings, driving discussions, and tracking deliverables.
- Monitor program performance, analyze results, and provide regular reporting on progress and key metrics.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align program objectives with broader organizational priorities.
- Assist with developing processes, documentation, and operational improvements for existing and new initiatives.
- Coordinate outreach efforts to increase engagement and participation across industry programs.
- Prepare presentations, meeting materials, and communications for internal and external audiences.
- Support partnership development and evaluate opportunities that contribute to long-term program success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, program management, project management, or stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working within an association, nonprofit organization, membership organization, or a business serving the telecommunications or technology industry is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing relationships across multiple organizations and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating committees, advisory groups, or cross-functional working groups.
- Strong financial acumen with experience supporting forecasting, business planning, or program budgeting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using databases or CRM systems is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
