The ideal candidate has a background in construction contract administration, corporate legal support, or commercial contract management, with the ability to independently review contractual language, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate revisions. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys working across departments, managing multiple contractual priorities, and taking ownership of the contract review process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze contract terms and identify potential risks related to liability, indemnification, insurance, payment provisions, and other contractual obligations.
  • Review scopes of work, standard contract provisions, and project-specific requirements to ensure accuracy and alignment with company standards.
  • Coordinate with internal leadership, Operations, Finance, and legal counsel to resolve contractual issues and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Manage contract documentation, revisions, approvals, and execution throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support contractor, business, and corporate licensing requirements, including renewals and compliance tracking.
  • Assist with insurance claims, policy renewals, incident reports, and related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate contract records, legal documentation, and compliance files.
  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel regarding litigation matters and other legal issues as needed.
  • Assist with improving contract management processes, internal procedures, and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of in-house legal or contract administration experience, or 5 years of relevant law firm experience involving contract review and negotiation.
  • Strong experience reviewing, redlining, and negotiating commercial contracts or subcontract agreements.
  • Experience with construction contracts, subcontract administration, or agreements within the construction industry strongly preferred.

  • Background in construction, mechanical contracting, HVAC, electrical contracting, general contracting, or a related industry preferred.
  • Experience managing contract documentation, compliance requirements, and contractual deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with legal counsel and cross-functional business teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience with Procore, Salesforce, corporate licensing, insurance claims, or litigation support is a plus.
  • Notary Public commission preferred, or willingness to obtain one.

  • Annual base salary of $60,000–$80,000, depending on experience.
  • Eligibility for an annual company-based bonus.
  • Additional benefits information pending confirmation.
