Job Title: Category Specialist-Proteins

As a Category Specialist, you would support the sourcing and category management team responsible for products and services such as food, packaging, equipment, and operational support resources used throughout the restaurants. The role goes beyond processing purchases by helping drive strategic sourcing decisions that balance cost, quality, and supplier performance.
A key responsibility is analyzing data related to spend, supplier performance, and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement. You would also assist in managing supplier relationships by monitoring vendor performance, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with company expectations and service standards.
The position also supports sourcing initiatives, including coordinating RFPs and RFQs, evaluating supplier proposals, and assisting with negotiations to secure the best overall value for the company. In addition, the role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams such as operations, finance, food safety, and marketing to ensure sourcing strategies align with business needs and restaurant operations.
