JOB DESCRIPTION:
Restorative Programs Manager/Supervisor
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in education, human services, criminal justice, or significant related professional experience. Experience in restorative justice, social work, substance abuse, and/or a professional who has overcome – for at least 5 years – a history of substance abuse or a criminal record. Ability to work with, respect, and develop rapport with a wide variety of people and maintain strictest levels of confidentiality.
Supervised by: Executive Director.
Desirable Characteristics:
· Demonstrates high level of organization and self-motivation.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.Professional, as defined: This involves setting and maintaining the highest agency performance standards by being industrious, respectful, organized and holding yourself accountable for all words, thoughts and actions while representing the Agency and its clients.
· Ability to work with diverse populations.
· Knowledge of the criminal justice system and supportive agencies/programs
· Experience with restorative justice programming.
· Capable of maintaining high standards of confidentiality, professionalism
· Possess a valid driver’s license, auto insurance (per the agency’s minimum requirements) and reliable transportation.
Training and Supervision of Agency Staff:
· Uphold all policies and procedures of ACRJS.
· Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality of the clients, victims and volunteers.
· Attend and participate in all meetings, training and events as required.
· Maintain positive team interactions with all ACRJS team members and agency partners.
· Attend scheduled statewide meeting as directed by the Executive Director
Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited to:
Provide subject specific training under the direct supervision of the Executive Director for new employees
· Maintain high levels of program morale through respectful discourse with the Executive Director at all times and refrain from discussing confidential communications with others.
· Encourage problem solving and conflict resolution between staff
· Encourage and ensure accountability and respect for one another, the stakeholders within the organization, and the community as a whole
· Biweekly supervision of staff utilizing a clear constructive feedback model
· Weekly supervisory meetings with Executive Director
· Maintain/model De-escalation practices as outlined by the Attorney General’s requisite training.
Supervisor of Diversion, Pre-charge Diversion, Post charge Diversion, Pre Trial Services, Re-entry and COSA. Coordinator will be:
- Familiar with and supportive of the principles and practices of restorative justice.
- Proficient in English language skills and be able to communicate with others in person, via telephone, and by written correspondence and email.
- Organized, self-actuating, dependable and trustworthy.
- Always maintain strictest levels of confidentiality. Breaking confidentiality may only happen with written approval from the Executive Director’s.
- A team player is willing to assist in general operations of ACRJS including answering telephones, greeting the public, scheduling appointments, etc.
Diversion and Re-entry Programs Supervisor,
The coordinator’s primary responsibility will be to Supervise staff providing Pre-charge Diversion, Post charge Diversion and Pre Trial Services, Reentry and Cosa Programs
Duties will include the following:
- Record all referrals and review cases with the Executive Director prior to accepting any case.
- Accept referrals for AG Program & DOC Program including self-referrals from potential program participants and follow up as appropriate. This position DOES NOT manage/interact with grants.
- Support staff to facilitate all intake of interviews and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Support staff to support participants prioritize their needs and goals and access the services and support necessary to meet them.
- Participate in or facilitate training, state-wide peer meetings, and training.
- Work with the Director to encourage volunteers to attend Reparative Panel &COSA training courses which may be pertinent to their work; provide ongoing support to volunteers as needed.
· Support Staff to facilitate Panel and COSA meetings and keep case notes.
· Attend weekly staff meetings.
· Support Staff to support participants in maintaining successful program participation.
· Maintain case records and submit/review monthly DOC data to the Executive Director or sooner if the need arises.
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $49,221.57 - $56,160.00 per year
