Position Summary
Addiction Rehab Centers is seeking a dependable, compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our residential treatment team in Mooresville, Indiana.
The BHT provides direct support and supervision to clients receiving substance use disorder treatment. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, structured, respectful, and recovery-focused environment throughout the overnight shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor client safety, behavior, and overall well-being throughout the shift
- Complete scheduled client rounds and document them accurately
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients
- Support clients in following facility schedules, expectations, and house rules
- Observe and promptly report changes in client behavior, condition, or safety
- Assist with admissions, discharges, room assignments, and client belongings when needed
- Document incidents, shift activities, and relevant client information clearly and promptly
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety procedures
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment
- Communicate effectively with clinical, nursing, and leadership staff
- Participate in required meetings, training, and ongoing staff development
- Perform other duties necessary to support safe facility operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare, or residential services is preferred
- Peer recovery or lived recovery experience is welcomed but not required
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations
- Ability to work independently while remaining part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be dependable and able to remain awake and attentive throughout the night shift
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
