What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Addiction Recovery?
Hope House Treatment Center is a non-profit dual diagnosis treatment center with locations in Crownsville and Laurel, Maryland. We are dedicated to providing men and women who are battling drug and alcohol addictions with the means to become healthy and productive citizens, equipped with the tools for a life of sobriety and recovery. We are staffed by a caring, experienced team of professionals that include addiction trained nurses, a physician, certified counselors, associate counselors, and treatment aides. We provide medical and nursing care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
Hope House Treatment Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support projects, both exterior and interior.
The successful candidate will perform duties (including but not limited to):
Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance
Interior / Exterior Painting
Fence / Guardrail Repairs
Asphalt repairs / Crack Filling and Striping
Building Repairs
Equipment Repairs and Preventative Maintenance
Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks (e.g. shoveling snow)
Identify and report the need for major repairs
Qualification(s) for the position:
Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
Basic math skills
Good communication ability
Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
Attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
