Hope House Treatment Center is a non-profit dual diagnosis treatment center with locations in Crownsville and Laurel, Maryland. We are dedicated to providing men and women who are battling drug and alcohol addictions with the means to become healthy and productive citizens, equipped with the tools for a life of sobriety and recovery. We are staffed by a caring, experienced team of professionals that include addiction trained nurses, a physician, certified counselors, associate counselors, and treatment aides. We provide medical and nursing care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.Hope House Treatment Center is seeking a part time Laundry Attendant to help support the hygiene and cleanliness of our facility, as well as ensure proper operation of our laundry facilities. JOB SUMMARY: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the correct and efficient operation of laundry facilities at Hope House Treatment Centers. Under the direction od the Facilities Supervisor they are responsible for helping Hope House patients and other staff wash clothes, bedding, and other items. They will help ensure that laundry facilities remain clean and in good working order. LAUNDRY ATTENDANT JOB DUTIES:Operates or assists in the operation of laundry machines to clean clothing, bedding, and other machine washable items. Helps maintain appropriate inventory of scrubs, bedding, cleaning supplies, and other related materials by reporting any low stock or damaged items to the Facilities Supervisor. Helps maintain the cleanliness of all laundry facilities at Hope House. Identifies laundry facility problems and reports needed repairs to Facilities Supervisor in a timely fashion. Responds to assigned work in a timely manner.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear; and to lift light loads. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
