ADDEV Materials is a global company specializing in the converting and distribution of high-performance materials, including adhesives, tapes, films, foams, fibers, and related products. We support customers across automotive, healthcare, electronics, aerospace, EV, construction, and industrial markets. Our capabilities include printing, laminating, rotary and flatbed die cutting, laser cutting, slitting, spooling, and packaging.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for both managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities, primarily within the automotive market. Approximately 70% of the focus is on automotive OEMs and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, with the remaining 30% supporting growth in adjacent markets such as electronics, EV, power generation, construction, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
The Technical Sales & Business Development Manager will own the sales process from initial prospecting through production launch and ongoing account support. This position is based on site at our Glenshaw, PA facility and requires regular travel to customer locations. As this is a leadership role, this individual will have multiple direct reports and will be responsible for supporting their development.
Key Responsibilities

Meet or exceed established revenue and new business development targets.

Manage and grow an existing book of business.

Identify and pursue new opportunities with OEMs and target accounts; ability to create target customer lists and lead the go-to-market plan for new opportunities.

Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, RFQs, quoting, negotiations, order acquisition, PPAP coordination, production launch, and account maintenance.

Work closely with engineering, estimating, operations, marketing, and business development leadership to support quoting, customer onboarding, and successful program launches.

Lead and manage current sales team, establishing goals and KPIs to drive revenue growth.

Conduct regular in-person visits with key accounts to maintain strong working relationships and address customer needs.

Deliver technical and commercial presentations tailored to customer requirements.

Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting in CRM (Dynamics 365 or similar platform).

Monitor market trends and competitive activity to help guide strategic decisions.

Attend trade shows and industry events to strengthen market presence and develop new contacts.

Travel up to 35–40% around the Midwest, Northeast, and Southern regions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; technical or engineering background preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of technical sales experience, preferably supporting automotive OEMs or Tier suppliers.

Experience in converting, die cutting, printing, or flexible material manufacturing (films, foams, fibers, non-wovens, adhesives) strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success in developing new business and closing opportunities.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Work Environment
