Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming patient inquiries and assess their home health care needs.
- Receive referrals, timely check eligibility, respond to referral source with acceptance or decline.
- Promptly obtain private insurances pre authorizations, properly upload documents.
- Schedule appointments for home health services while optimizing staff availability.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update scheduling systems as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide support.
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts and patient concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient experience.
- Manage WellSky Kinnser EMR, request medical records, fax orders, receive and upload documents to the system properly to ensure office workflow to the billing company.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling or intake roles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Adobe and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and medical terminology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
- Flexible for possible weekends on call.
