Financial Analyst:
A rapidly growing organization headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a Financial Analyst to support strategic growth and operational excellence across its expanding network of locations throughout the Southeast. Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Operational Analysis
- Analyze revenue mix, customer traffic patterns, menu profitability, labor ratios, food cost drivers, and other operational KPIs to support business decisions.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate location performance utilizing factors such as store KPIs, geography, market type, and demographics.
- Assist in preparing detailed financial and market analyses to evaluate potential growth opportunities and new locations.
Forecasting & Performance Tracking
- Support forecasting efforts and provide key metrics including ROI, payback periods, NPV, and scenario sensitivities for proposed opportunities,
- Monitor and report on financial performance trends, identify variances versus expectations, and recommend operational or financial improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Development, Procurement, and Marketing teams during evaluations of new opportunities and performance reviews.
- Maintain internal tracking tools and dashboards to provide leadership with visibility into financial performance and pipeline initiatives.
Reporting & Presentations
- Prepare presentations, reports, and executive summaries for senior leadership and board-level discussions.
- Provide ad hoc analyses and support strategic initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or another analytical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in Finance or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skill set with experience working with financial, operational, or statistical data.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; dashboarding or BI tool experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving growth environment.
