Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Birmingham, AL
Summary:
This position will involve assisting in the day to day accounts receivable activities. The right candidate must have the ability to work both independently or in a team environment, employ critical thinking and use good judgment in decision-making.
Essential Functions/Duties:
1. Assist in posting cash deposit payments.
2. Assist in cash collection calls.
3. Other duties as needed.
Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work effectively with or without direct supervision as well as independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- At least 1-year experience in a similar role.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- 2-3 years’ experience in an accounts receivable role preferred.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
