Corporate Accounting Manager
Job Summary:
The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for providing accurate financial information, supporting financial analysis, and delivering insights to help achieve organizational financial goals. This role oversees accounting activities across multiple locations and serves as a key partner to business leaders by ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with established financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Manage month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances as needed.
- Monitor financial transactions and postings for accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in financial system enhancements, process improvements, and accounting technology initiatives.
- Support the evaluation and improvement of internal controls and standard operating procedures.
- Serve as a liaison between corporate accounting and business operations, supporting areas including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
- Provide financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support business decisions.
- Travel to other company locations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience required.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with ERP systems preferred (SAP S/4 experience a plus).
- Experience with BlackLine or similar reconciliation/accounting automation tools preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard company assets.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
