We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing practice in Joplin, Missouri. This role is essential in supporting clinical efficiency and delivering an exceptional patient experience. Schedule
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Sit chairside with the doctor and assist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols
- Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images
- Record and update patient medical histories and clinical notes accurately
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain operatory cleanliness and organization
- Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience required
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- EFDA certification preferred (recommended)
- X-ray certification (or ability to obtain per Missouri state requirements)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
