What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Manager position at Adas Safe?
Overview
The Regional Manager owns operational performance, P&L, and customer experience across ADAS Safe’s mobile calibration operations in New England. The role leads a team of technicians, pod leaders, and supervisors, sets the standard for execution, and serves as the senior point of accountability for client outcomes across the region.
Duties
- Own day-to-day operations and operational excellence across the region; set and deliver monthly and quarterly goals across customer service, team management, operations, and financial performance.
- Own the regional P&L: revenue, labor and capacity planning, equipment, vendor spend, and operating costs. Deliver financial performance at or above company targets.
- Hire, onboard, coach, and develop technicians, leads, and supervisors. Partner with Training leadership to close skill gaps, reduce misdiagnosis rates, and improve technician proficiency.
- Ensure technicians have the tools, equipment, training, and support needed to be the first and last call the client makes.
- Monitor and improve key operational KPIs: technician utilization, first-time-right calibration rates, missed appointments, and client and technician retention.
- Own client relationships across the region post-launch as the primary point of contact for communication and escalations. Resolve issues with urgency.
- Translate client feedback into operational improvements and team development plans.
- Establish change management plans, new processes, and efficiencies so teams operate in a standardized way across all markets.
- Partner with Sales and Leadership to drive revenue growth by expanding services and identifying new markets and opportunities.
- Reinforce a culture of leadership and team excellence: training standards, career pathing, succession planning, talent acquisition, and retention.
- Uphold regional standards for “pride of place”: vehicle condition, inventory accuracy, tooling management, and technician presentation.
Supervisory Responsabilities
- Directly lead technicians, pod leaders, and supervisors; ensure consistent execution of operational, technical, and customer standards.
- Hire, onboard, and ramp new team members with Training and HR; ensure readiness, safety, and utilization expectations are met.
- Run regular 1:1s, quarterly performance reviews, and coaching sessions; assess performance, address gaps, and reinforce expectations.
- Set measurable goals aligned to regional KPIs (utilization, first-time-right, quality, safety, customer satisfaction).
- Identify high-potential talent; build a bench and succession plan for pod lead and supervisor roles.
- Address performance issues promptly with corrective action and documentation in partnership with HR.
- Foster a culture of accountability, pride, safety, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4 years of progressive experience in field operations, fleet services, automotive service, or technical services.
- 1 years directly leading technicians, leads, and/or supervisors.
- Proven ownership of regional P&L, including revenue growth, labor optimization, vendor spend, and operating costs.
- Strong understanding of technical service environments (automotive, calibration, diagnostics, or adjacent).
- Experience partnering with Training, Sales, and Operations leadership to drive performance.
- Customer-facing background managing enterprise or multi-location clients.
- Comfort operating in fast-growing, ambiguous environments with evolving processes.
