We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our Clinical as an Executive Director, Clinical Operations and work as part of a team to drive success. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, independent, and highly flexible within a fast-paced environment. The Executive Director, Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations activities across the Company’s therapeutic programs. This role involves leading the clinical operations team, developing strategic operational plans, and ensuring the efficient execution of clinical trials from Phase I through Phase III.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for clinical operations.
  • Develop and manage clinical trial budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Lead and manage the clinical operations team, including hiring, training, and performance management, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development.
  • Oversee the planning, site selection, initiation, monitoring, and execution of clinical trials.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and data management, to ensure alignment and successful trial execution.
  • Manage relationships with clinical trial sites, CROs, and other external partners.
  • Monitor trial progress, including patient recruitment, site performance, and data collection, and provide regular updates to senior management.
    • Presentation of results in both written and oral format and delivery of completed reports within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with critical collaborative partners throughout the company.
    • Maintain all appropriate corporate standards for facility safety.
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in clinical operations, with a focus on biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
  • M.D. and/or PhD in a scientific background is highly preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and executing clinical trials.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective presentation of complex scientific data to cross-functional and senior management teams are essential for this role.
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite Products, Adobe Pro.

Compensation:

  • This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, occasional overtime.

This role is eligible for an annual target bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, type and length of experience within the industry, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
  • Total Compensation includes base salary; benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; 401(k) matching program; paid time off; paid holidays; Employee Assistance Program; and other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including but not limited to cash bonuses.
  • Following a conditional offer of employment, satisfactory completion of a background check (including criminal records check) is required prior to beginning employment. Any offer of employment may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current NAI employee who was conditionally offered the position.
