Caregivers and Companion Sitters

About the Role:

Adaptive VitalCare Solutions is seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers / Companion Sitters to provide non-medical, in-home support to individuals who wish to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.

Success in this role means building trust with clients and families, providing consistent and reliable support, and contributing to a care experience that enhances quality of life.

This role is a critical part of our organization’s mission to deliver flexible, personalized, and compassionate care across Eastern North Carolina. Caregivers are the foundation of our service model and directly impact client satisfaction, retention, and overall community trust.

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
• Support daily routines, mobility, and overall well-being
• Provide reminders for self-administered medications
• Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisors
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
• Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for each client

QualificationsRequired

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background check and required screenings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred

• 6–12 months of caregiving or related experience
• Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities
