Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals, particularly children, who are on the autism spectrum or have other behavioral challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to implement care plans and provide support through behavioral therapy techniques. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients by fostering their development and independence.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Collect and document data on client progress and behavior changes in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Provide direct patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment strategies.
- Assist in the development of behavioral therapy techniques that promote positive behavior changes.
- Engage with clients through structured activities aimed at improving social skills and communication.
- Monitor and report any significant changes in client behavior or health status to the supervising clinician.
Experience
- Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring behavioral therapy is preferred.
- Familiarity with care plans, medical documentation, and medical terminology is essential.
- Experience in data collection methods relevant to patient care is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices is required.
- A background in child development or experience working with children is a plus.
