Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Home Modifications to oversee projects nationwide that improve accessibility, safety, and comfort for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be a licensed General Contractor with a strong background in residential construction, project management, and ADA compliance. This role requires technical expertise along with strong listening and problem-solving skills to ensure each project enhances the independence, safety and quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of home modification projects, from initial assessment to completion walk-throughs.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring work is delivered on schedule and within scope.
  • Provide guidance on adaptive equipment, structural changes, and design solutions.
  • Supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and vendors to maintain quality standards.
  • Client Engagement
  • Conduct home assessments to identify accessibility barriers and recommend modifications, including equipment ie, elevators- vertical platform lifts- ramps
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and case managers to design solutions tailored to the client’s needs.
  • Communicate clearly with clients throughout the project, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all modifications meet ADA guidelines, local building codes, and safety standards.
  • Stay current with best practices in universal design and accessibility.
  • Implement safety protocols for workers and residents during construction.
  • Team Leadership
  • Recruit, train, and manage subcontractors involved in modification projects.
  • Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and mentorship.

Administration

  • Prepare cost estimates, contracts, and progress reports.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Track project expenses and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

  • Licensed General Contractor (preferred).
  • Knowledge of accessibility and mobility equipment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction or remodeling.
  • Proven track record in project management and team leadership.
  • Ability to work remotely using virtual tools to monitor jobs and do assessments.
  • Knowledge of ADA standards, accessibility design, and universal design principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite and google workspace tools, BuilderTrend expereince is a plus.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including clients with disabilities, healthcare professionals, and community organizations.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
