What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Provider (Per Diem) position at Adaptive Pediatric Therapy?
Mental Health Provider (Per Diem)
Postpartum & Special Needs Parent Specialist
Adaptive Pediatric Therapy (APT) | Telehealth & Home Visits
Adaptive Pediatric Therapy (APT) is seeking an experienced and motivated Mental Health Provider (LICSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist) to play a key role in launching and shaping a new maternal mental health and family support program within our practice.
APT has built a strong reputation in the community for providing high-quality, family-centered care, and this is an opportunity to join a team deeply committed to meaningful, relationship-driven work. As we expand our services, we are looking for the right fit—someone who is excited to contribute to the impactful work we are already doing while helping us grow something new.
This is a unique opportunity for a clinician who is not only passionate about perinatal mental health and supporting parents of children with special needs, but who is also energized by the chance to build something meaningful from the ground up. The ideal candidate brings clinical expertise, initiative, and a collaborative mindset to help develop a program that truly meets the needs of families “in the trenches.”
At APT, we provide high-quality, interdisciplinary, family-centered care. This role will be embedded within a team of OTs, SLPs, and IBCLCs, offering wraparound support to families navigating postpartum challenges, maternal mental health concerns, and the complexities of raising medically fragile or neurodivergent children.
The caseload will primarily include birthing people in the postpartum period and parents of children with medical complexities or special needs. In addition to direct care, this provider will help inform program development, clinical approach, and service delivery models as we grow this offering.
We are intentionally starting small and are seeking a provider who is invested in growing with us—someone looking for a long-term professional home where their voice and expertise will directly shape the future of this service.
