Responsibilities
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management software to accurately track inventory levels, update stock records, and facilitate order fulfillment.
- Prepare shipments by packing products securely, labeling packages correctly, and coordinating with shipping logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and stock replenishment activities using inventory management systems and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software like AS400 or MRP systems.
- Assist in order picking and packing processes for e-commerce orders, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves, organizing stockpiles, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Support shipping & receiving operations by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and processing returns when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes while ensuring compliance with trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
- Document all warehouse activities meticulously through data entry tasks in warehouse management systems and other software tools like Microsoft Office.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including stocking, order picking & packing, load & unload procedures.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP platforms is advantageous.
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Basic math skills for counting inventory accurately and processing shipments efficiently.
- Proficiency in data entry tasks using Microsoft Office applications or inventory management software.
- Knowledge of shipping logistics, international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and packaging requirements is beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail; ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within the team and support customer service initiatives.
