Essential Functions
Financial Close & Reporting
• Execute month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, expense allocations, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules such as P&L roll-forwards.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, reporting deadlines, and established business expectations.
• Prepare and analyze P&L roll-forwards and variance reports to support timely and accurate financial results.
• Apply foundational GAAP principles to daily and monthly accounting tasks.
• Complete bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Accounting & Year-End Responsibilities
• Assist the Division Controller with daily accounting activities and period-end close requirements, including preparation for quarterly and annual audits and tax requests.
• Support ancillary reporting for sales and use tax, and monitor aging outstanding checks for required state reporting and remittance.
• Maintain the month-end close checklist and ensure cross-functional adherence to the close timeline.
Fixed Assets and Capital Projects
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts, partnering with Operations to ensure timely capitalization in accordance with GAAP.
• Track CIP activity, ensure accurate project documentation, and support the fixed-asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.
Compliance and External Reporting
• Support external audits and tax reviews by providing reconciliations and documentation in alignment with company standards.
Other Items
• Support adhoc requests as needed.
• Document process and procedures across various roles within accounting.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• General accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Oracle/Oracle Cloud is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.

• Reliability to commute to Charlotte, NC.
• Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
