About the Role
We are looking for a People & Culture Generalist who enjoys helping employees while keeping HR operations organized, compliant, and running smoothly. This position supports employees throughout the employment lifecycle, from onboarding through offboarding.
The role is responsible for employee records, HR systems, benefits and policy questions, timekeeping, reporting, compliance support, employee engagement, and general People & Culture administration.
What You’ll Do
Employee Onboarding
- Coordinate the full onboarding process for new hires.
- Prepare employment documents, Form I-9 verification, background screenings, and drug testing.
- Enter and maintain employee information in HR systems.
- Coordinate equipment, system access, and other resources needed for a successful start.
- Assist with new hire orientation, office tours, and company system training.
HR Administration
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, paid time off, policies, and HR procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files and employee records.
- Process employment verification requests.
- Manage timekeeping records and assist employees and managers with attendance questions.
- Support the employee performance review process.
- Communicate policy updates and maintain related documentation.
- Assist with internal and external HR compliance audits.
Employee Offboarding
- Coordinate employee separation activities and required documentation.
- Update HR systems and remove departing employees from company platforms.
- Work with internal departments to ensure access and company resources are properly discontinued.
- Ensure offboarding activities comply with company policies and applicable requirements.
Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, including headcount, onboarding, turnover, and other workforce data.
- Compile HR information to support workforce planning, compliance, and leadership decisions.
- Monitor HR data for accuracy and identify opportunities to improve reporting and processes.
Employee Engagement and Culture
- Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and culture initiatives.
- Assist with planning employee events and recognition programs.
- Partner with internal departments to encourage employee communication and participation.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Coordinate travel arrangements for employees and new hires as needed.
- Organize conference room reservations.
- Order and maintain office supplies, equipment, and company merchandise.
- Provide front desk coverage during the receptionist’s lunch break.
- Support additional People & Culture projects and administrative functions as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or an administrative support role.
- Working knowledge of HR administration, employment practices, and confidentiality requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking, or timekeeping systems.
- Experience supporting employee engagement or recognition programs.
