Role Description
This full-time, on-site Admissions Coordinator role is based in Deerfield Beach, FL. The Admissions Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for prospective clients and families, guiding them through the intake process with professionalism and compassion. Responsibilities include assessing client eligibility, gathering necessary documentation, verifying insurance benefits, providing information on available services, and coordinating admissions logistics. The role also involves collaborating with clinical, administrative, and billing teams to ensure a seamless experience for incoming clients while maintaining adherence to policies and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members, ensuring a professional and empathetic approach.
- Knowledge and experience with Medical Terminology and Medicare processes to accurately guide clients through admissions and insurance verification.
- Ability to facilitate Training sessions and support onboarding processes for new staff, as needed.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant technology is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or higher in a healthcare-related field is a plus.
- Experience in a behavioral health or medical setting is advantageous.
