About this role
Adaptiva is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Database Developer to join our growing development team. This is a full-time, exempt position, based at our offices in Kirkland, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality database solutions.
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using PostgreSQL.
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
- Analyze existing PostgreSQL queries for performance improvements.
- Develop new queries and take ownership of PostgreSQL development.
- Take ownership of PostgreSQL development for future products and enhancement of existing products.
- Understand complex PostgreSQL, and design schemas for data storage for future products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 5 years of progressive experience in PostgreSQL development.
- Ability to understand and develop complex PostgreSQL queries, historical data and schemas.
- Be familiar with at least one high-level development language (e.g., C#, Java).
- Experience with Git, version control and collaborating with Software Engineer’s to create innovative, enterprise product lines.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $100,000 – $145,000. The range provided is broad and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, location, and other business needs.
The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a performance bonus and generous benefits.
