- Be at the forefront of vehicle development, assembling prototype evaluation vehicles and supporting the design process from the ground up.
- Lead and train a team of 5 NAMC team members during major builds, ensuring smooth and efficient assembly operations.
- Work hands-on with vehicles during small retrofit builds and vehicle evaluations, helping to shape next-generation models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot assembly challenges, and drive continuous improvement through proven business practices.
What You’ll Do:
Assemble & Retrofit: Work on prototype vehicles for major and minor model changes.
Lead & Train: Act as a Station Leader for major model builds, creating detailed operating plans and training plant assembly technicians.
Troubleshoot Issues: Identify, document, and perform initial troubleshooting on assembly concerns.
Evaluate & Improve: Assess vehicle quality, serviceability, and water leak performance.
Optimize Processes: Standardize assembly processes, implement improvements, and participate in problem-solving activities like Corporate Business Practice and Quality Circles.
Safety & Quality Ownership: Ensure adherence to Safety Management System standards.
What You Bring to the Team:
3 years of automotive prototype assembly experience OR a mix of automotive experience and advanced technical training.
1 year of experience setting up vehicle assembly processes.
1 year in a team leadership role.
Basic proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, XVL, etc.) to manipulate vehicle data.
Microsoft Office skills (Excel for data/scheduling, PowerPoint for presentations, Word for reporting).
What Will Make You Stand Out:
Vehicle Electronics Troubleshooting – 2 years of experience diagnosing vehicle electronics.
KPI & Process Management – 1 year of experience setting and tracking key performance indicators.
Vehicle Evaluation Expertise – Experience assessing vehicle builds against documented standards.
AutoCAD Knowledge – Basic experience using AutoCAD for shop floor layouts.
