About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Travelling Construction Foreman / Site Supervisor to oversee on-site activities, coordinate field operations, and ensure projects are executed to the highest standards. This is a part-time role requiring availability for occasional site visits and some travel to project locations in various regions.
You will serve as the primary on-site representative, ensuring that schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met, while fostering clear communication between field crews, subcontractors, and the project management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Oversee day-to-day field activities when on-site, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to deadlines.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site labor to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and lead safety meetings when necessary.
- Maintain detailed daily reports and communicate updates to project managers.
- Assist in scheduling, delivery coordination, and material verification.
- Provide on-the-ground troubleshooting and problem resolution during site visits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Foreman, Site Supervisor, or Superintendent.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety protocols.
- Willingness and ability to travel for site visits, sometimes on short notice.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with construction management software (JobTread or similar) is a plus.
- OSHA certification or safety training preferred.
