Position Summary
The Swimming Pool Plumbing Supervisor will oversee plumbing operations on swimming pool construction and remodel projects. This position requires strong plumbing knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work hands-on in the field. The ideal candidate understands swimming pool plumbing systems and can read plans, coordinate with other trades, troubleshoot issues, and keep crews moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead swimming pool plumbing crews in the field.
- Install, repair, and oversee installation of pool plumbing systems, including:
- PVC piping and fittings
- Suction and return lines
- Main drains
- Skimmer lines
- Water features
- Pool equipment connections
- Pump and filtration systems
- Chemical feed systems
- Heaters and related equipment
- Read and interpret construction plans, plumbing drawings, and specifications.
- Lay out plumbing systems and verify proper elevations, slopes, and locations.
- Coordinate plumbing work with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards, plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues and develop effective solutions.
- Manage daily crew assignments and productivity.
- Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed.
- Communicate project progress, delays, material needs, and field issues to management.
- Train and mentor plumbing employees and less-experienced workers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Enforce company safety policies and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with pressure testing, leak detection, system start-up, and troubleshooting.
- Complete required daily paperwork, jobsite documentation, and timekeeping.
- Work alongside the crew when needed to keep projects on schedule.
Qualifications
- 3 years of plumbing experience, preferably in swimming pool construction, commercial construction, or a related trade.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a construction/plumbing crew preferred.
- Strong understanding of PVC plumbing systems and pool circulation systems.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and plumbing drawings.
- Knowledge of commercial swimming pool equipment and plumbing preferred.
- Ability to accurately measure, lay out, and install piping.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and project management.
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently.
- Ability to work outdoors and in active construction environments.
- Must be able to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical construction work.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,200.00 per week
