Part-time office assistant with one of southern Minnesotas leading multimedia companies!

Adams Multimedia and the Caledonia Argus are seeking a fast-thinking and highly organized part-time office assistant to support our newsroom and business operations. Candidate will handle administrative duties, manage reader and subscriber inquiries, and assist editorial and advertising teams in a deadline-driven environment, along with other duties as assigned. Starting salary will be $16/hr.

Main Duties And Tasks Include

Newsroom Support: Direct tips, press releases, and breaking news calls to the correct editors or reporters.

Subscriber Relations: Answer phones to handle subscription renewals, delivery issues, and general reader feedback.

• Public Notices & Obituaries: Format, log, and process incoming obituary notices and public legal announcements.
• Archiving & Research: Maintain the newspaper's physical clipping library and digital story archive.
• Ad Coordination: Help the sales team process advertising 7 insertion orders and sort billing paperwork. ~; y
  
  

Skills Needed

• Excellent communication and phone etiquette under tight time constraints.
• Strong digital skills, including database management and basic content platforms.
• High school diploma or equivalent (media or journalism coursework is a plus).
• Superior accuracy to prevent errors in published notices and billing.
