About the Position:
A leading law firm in downtown San Diego is seeking an experienced Litigation Administrative Assistant to join its collaborative team. The firm's practice includes complex commercial, civil, and defense litigation matters, with a focus on product liability, toxic tort, medical device, and automotive industry cases, as well as arbitration and trial work.

The Litigation Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys and paralegals through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and attendance.
Responsibilities include:
Managing attorney calendars and scheduling depositions, mediations, and client meetings
Preparing, revising, and finalizing correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents
Performing electronic court filings (State and Federal)
Handling travel arrangements and monthly expense reports
Opening new matters, running conflict checks, and maintaining electronic case files
Assisting with client billing, time entry, and invoices
Communicating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel as needed
Supporting attorneys through trial preparation and, ideally, trial attendance ("hot seat")
Minimum of five years of litigation experience in a California law firm (will consider strong candidates with three or more years)
State and Federal court experience required
Trial preparation or trial attendance ("hot seat") experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures and court rules
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); experience with document management and billing systems preferred
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and attention to detail
Salary range: $68,000 - $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience
