Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a client to find an experienced Application Developer to support their legal department in Georgia. This role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing secure software systems tailored to the organization's operational and compliance needs. The Application Developer will report to the Development Team Lead and work collaboratively with the General Counsel under limited supervision.
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications to meet business and legal department needs.
- Translate user stories and requirements into functional, secure software solutions.
- Conduct research and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance application performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and provide advanced support for internally developed applications.
- Ensure application and system security by adhering to software development best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the legal and IT teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with IT staff to streamline workflows and processes, creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Work with project managers and product owners to gather requirements, design systems, and create user stories tailored to legal operations.
- Assist other IT initiatives as needed to support the legal department and broader organizational goals.
- Develop and execute software testing protocols to ensure functionality and security.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software development to foster innovation and improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working within Agile development frameworks.
- Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.
- Proven track record of developing software using MVC frameworks.
- Minimum one year of hands-on experience with programming languages and tools such as Python, PHP, Ruby on Rails (RoR), Django, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- A 2- or 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or IaaS solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with GNU/Linux environments.
- Proficiency in modern database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL).
Monday - Friday, first shift.
Please note this is an onsite contract to hire opportunity in Downtown Atlanta.
The salary range is $70,000 - $75,000 per year based on experience, with a maximum pay of $36 per hour and a minimum pay of $33 per hour.
