SEEKING A GROUNDSKEEPER/PORTER FOR ONE OF OUR PEORIA, IL APARTMENT COMMUNITIES.
WE ARE HIGHLY DEDICATED TO BOTH EMPLOYEES AND RESIDENTS AND TAKE A STRONG PRIDE IN WHAT WE DO! THE POSITION WILL REQUIRE SCHEDULE FLEXIBILITY, WORKING WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS AS NEEDED.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Checks and replaces exterior lighting on a regular basis.
- Open, close and clean pool, if certified for pool maintenance, then maintain pool as directed.
- Constantly observes condition of apartment property throughout the community and immediately reports and/or initiates action to correct unsafe conditions.
- Needs to be aware of all utility meter cut-offs, apartment and fixture cut-offs, sewer clean outs.
- Ensures that storage areas always remain locked when not in use.
- Physically walks the property to removes litter, debris, cigarette butts and pet droppings from the grounds.
- Performs "trash-out" duties at vacated apartments.
- Maintains the dump area.
- Details property on a regular basis
- Assists with "make-ready" duties when requested by the manager or senior maintenance technician.
- Helps clean and maintain storage and shop areas.
- Performs any additional duties assigned by community manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have the ability and skills to perform required job functions
- Must pass a background check;
- Possess working knowledge of property management maintenance procedures;
- Have skills in: Light carpentry;
