Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a hands-on, organized, and customer-focused Warehouse Manager to join their team in Atlanta, GA. This key role will oversee daily warehouse operations, including managing deliveries, working the sales counter, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and warehouse operations, and a background in pipe, valve, and fitting (PVF) products is highly preferred. The hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Route and schedule daily delivery trucks to ensure timely and efficient customer deliveries
- Assist customers at the sales counter by accurately fulfilling and processing orders
- Oversee warehouse organization, inventory control, and product placement
- Operate a forklift to load/unload shipments and move inventory as needed
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
- Train and supervise warehouse staff as needed
- Coordinate with sales and purchasing teams to align inventory with customer needs
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics
- Proven ability to manage delivery routing and scheduling
- Strong customer service skills and experience in a counter sales role
- Forklift certification or experience operating a forklift preferred
- PVF (Pipe, Valve, and Fitting) product knowledge is a strong plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or warehouse training is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
