Position Overview:
As a Meat Wrapper you will be responsible for packaging, labeling and presenting various cuts of meats for customers. You are responsible for ensuring proper packaging of meats, maintaining cleanliness and providing excellent customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Package and wrap various cuts of meats such as steaks, roast, ground meat etc according to the department standards
- Using wrapping equipment and tools to ensure proper sealing and protection of the meat products
- Label packages accurately with product information, prices and expiration dates
- Assist in monitoring meat inventory levels and restocking the display case as needed
- Rotate products to maintain freshness and remove any expired or damaged items
- Inspect meat products for quality, freshness and proper packaging
- Ensure that all labeled information is accurate and complies with food safety regulations and store policies
- Providing excellent customer service in timely manner with professionalism to ensure continued customer satisfaction
- Providing recommendations regarding meat selection, cooking recommendations as well as fulfilling special requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat wrapping area
- Clean and sanitize wrapping equipment, counters and work surfaces regularly
- Adhere to all company safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
- Ability to work in varying temperature-controlled environments.
- $17.50 per hour
- Weekday and Weekend hours as needed.
- Full-time and part time available
- Preferred: One (1) year butchery experience or relevant experience
- ServeSafe certification or comparable
- Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc
