What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant position at Adams Health and Careers?
The NP/Physician Assistant is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health issues and coordinating healthcare for both children and adults, adhering to relevant regulations and nursing standards. They provide medical direction and treatment within their scope of practice, which is determined through credentialing at Adams Memorial Hospital and supervised by a physician. Their duties include diagnosing, treating, prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting tests, making referrals, and educating patients.
Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!
Requirements:
40 hours per week - First Shift
(3) 12-Hour Days per Week / 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
(1) Saturday per Month / 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
NP or Physician Assistant License
CPR Certification
1-2 years pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
1-2 years clinical experience in physician office setting preferred, but not required.
