The Sales Manager will manage and develop new direct manufacturing customers by promoting specialty grains and oils, with a focus on grains. This position will work closely with customers to align their needs with Adams’ unique product portfolio.

Position Summary
The Sales Manager will manage and develop new direct manufacturing customers by promoting specialty grains and oils, with a focus on grains. This position will work closely with customers to align their needs with Adams’ unique product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute customer-centric strategies to drive volume growth, maximize margin performance, and expand market share
- Develop and maintain customer project pipeline
- Develop account plans for customers to deliver annual volume and profitability targets
- Provide accurate forecasts based on customer demand
- Collaborate with multiple internal departments to add value and drive growth
- Maintain and further develop relationships with existing customer base
- Establish and maintain new customers by building relationships with key stakeholders in Procurement, R&D and other departments
- Represent Adams at trade events
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; in food, agriculture, science or a related field
- 3 years of account management or business development experience, preferably in ingredients (food or non-food)
- Proven success in managing accounts and driving revenue growth
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a changing environment
- Travel requirements: Available for overnight travel. Travel frequency will vary depending on business needs. Estimated 50% maximum.
- Strong business acumen, with expertise in sales strategy, negotiation, and customer relationship management
- Proficiency in newly developed software tools
- Ability to work independently and also as a key member of the sales team

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
