This role is responsible for overseeing and supporting the implementation of health and safety programs across Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) operations throughout North America. - Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies aligned with current industry standards and regulations.
- Create safety policies, procedures, and documentation that are both regulatory-compliant and user-friendly.
- Lead and participate in working-at-heights and confined space rescue drills to ensure safety preparedness.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, conduct Root Cause Analyses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Represent the organization in meetings with regulatory bodies and external safety-related stakeholders.
- Review and interpret safety reports and regulatory data to ensure adherence to technical requirements.
- Conduct safety audits at operational sites across North America to ensure compliance with both internal and external safety standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field – or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a safety-related role, with 2 years in high-voltage environments.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 40% of the time
