Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QuickBooks Book Keeper to join our dynamic accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, maintaining accurate bookkeeping practices, and ensuring the integrity of our financial data using various accounting software platforms. Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate records within QuickBooks Online and other financial software such as Xero, Sage, and Quicken
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Prepare detailed journal entries, including debits & credits, for various financial activities
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Support payroll processing by ensuring correct data entry and compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and maintaining compliance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards
- Perform account reconciliation tasks regularly to uphold the integrity of financial statements
- Maintain thorough documentation of all bookkeeping activities for audit readiness and internal review
Experience
- Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong background in QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online) and other accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or Quicken
- Hands-on experience with corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or governmental accounting environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles, general ledger accounting, and financial concepts is essential
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and account reconciliation procedures
- Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
- Strong understanding of GAAP standards and technical accounting practices
- Excellent skills in 10 key typing, data entry accuracy, and financial report writing
- Prior experience in public accounting or working within diverse accounting systems will be considered an asset
