Security Guard

Job Summary: Maintains the physical structures of buildings and safety of employees and patients by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

• Shovels snow from walks and driveways; spreads salt on public passage ways
• Operates snow removal equipment to maintain streets, sidewalks and driveways
• Clears clogged drains including toilets
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
• Assist in cleanliness of the Emergency Department by performing the duties personally or calling housekeeping if anything more than sweeping or removing trash
• Alerts staff and police if someone shows signs of losing control
• Ability to speak with the person using a clam tone of voice
• Helps to remove patient/visitor when needed
• Able to use physical restraints; use is only as a last resort
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
• Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  
  

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least one (1) year of experience working in maintenance/security and basic knowledge of Microsoft office required.

Job Type: 10PM - 6AM Every Other Sunday & One Week Day Pool
