What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Adams County Health Department?
The Adams County Health Department is seeking applicants for a receptionist. Duties will include assisting in the front desk rotation answering phones, greeting and directing visitors to the Health Department and answering general questions. Duties will also include assisting the WIC and Immunizations department with patient scheduling, registering clients, accessing patient records and all other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients to the Health Department with positivity
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Access and print patient records
- Schedule and confirm appointments
- Register patients with accurate insurance information
- Process paperwork & filing
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Able to multi-task and use time efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years prior office coordination in a medical setting
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Understanding of insurance billing
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
