Position: Avionics Technician / Aircraft Electrician
Location: MCAS Camp Pendleton (Oceanside, CA)
Your Mission
We’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avionics Technician specializing in depot-level modifications and new systems integrations on UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft. This position is vital to supporting aircraft upgrade modifications, repairs, and inspections of advanced avionics systems — ensuring optimal readiness and operational capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform depot-level modifications, new system integrations, and troubleshooting of communication, navigation, flight control, and EW systems.
- Conduct wiring, component, and system-level inspections; diagnose and repair malfunctions.
- Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to resolve avionics issues and document corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with NAMP, QA, and safety standards.
- Support aircraft inspections, tool accountability, and maintenance documentation.
What You’ll Bring
✅ 5 years of aviation avionics maintenance experience
✅ Strong knowledge of electrical principles and troubleshooting techniques
✅ Ability to interpret technical data, schematics, and wiring diagrams
✅ Proficiency in depot-level procedures, MIL-SPEC connectors, and harnesses
✅ Self-starter mindset with excellent teamwork and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience on UH-1Y and/or AH-1Z aircraft
- A&P license or equivalent military certification
- Prior military / DoD maintenance background
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces
- Prolonged standing, kneeling, and bending
- Comfortable in high-noise flightline/hangar environments
FIT-for-Duty physical required.
Tools: Must provide basic hand tools.
💰 SIGN-ON BONUS DETAILS
- $1,000 Bonus paid on Day 91 of employment
- Must remain employed for a minimum of 12 months to retain the bonus
