Position Overview:
We are seeing a proactive and customer-focused Personal Banker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to gather deposits, provide exceptional customers service, partner with other bankers to provide financial solutions for our customers, and have the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs all activities related to the opening or closing of various types of time and demand deposit accounts, including certificates of deposits, NOW accounts, regular checking accounts and savings products. Ensures applicable regulations, disclosures, policies, and procedures are followed and is trained on depository compliance regulations.
Cross-sells Bank services to maximize customer relationship, based on customer need and aligned with the Bank's core values. Learns to perform periodic follow up with customers for addition services and to ensure customer satisfaction.
Proactively calls on new and existing customers outside of bank. Makes business connections through community organizations and volunteer commitments. Actively promotes bank and asks clients for referrals.
Accepts credit applications for consumer loans and completes basic underwriting and loan decisions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the banking or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be consultative and recommend products and services based on a need.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a diverse team.
- Flexibility to travel to other locations to meet with customers and team members.
