We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor and Educator to join our team at Exeter Job Corps Academy. As a Residential Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to our students while maintaining a positive dormitory living environment.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people achieve their goals and succeed in life. As a Residential Advisor, you will be responsible for hosting dorm activities, assisting in recreational activities, and fostering positive peer relationships. You will also assist in student retention by providing an interactive and comfortable living environment that promotes academic achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to students in a residential setting
- Host dorm activities and assist in recreational activities on and off center
- Foster positive peer relationships and leadership role modeling techniques
- Assist in student retention through proactive conflict resolution and counseling
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older to apply
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, A.S. or B.A. preferred for promotional opportunities
- A minimum of one year working with youths preferred
- A valid driver's license preferred
