About Shriver Job Corps Center 

The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, Various Computer Sciences, Carpentry, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services. 

Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing students with industry recognized instruction and training in the Career Technical Training Center leading to full-time jobs, higher education or advanced training. Ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to provide students with training in Computer Technology leading to completion of program and certification
• Provides quality career technical training that leads to student placement, providing students with job leads and monitors placement of all graduates
• Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population. Takes swift and appropriate action and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior
• Provides quality programs, assignments and services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of programs and services
• Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• 1-year experience in teaching or relevant experience
• Certified CompTIA A
• Post-Secondary Degree preferred
