What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Adama?
Summary: The function of the Maintenance Supervisor is to ensure that all maintenance activities in the facility are performed effectively and efficiently, and ensures the maintenance staff has all tools, systems and processes to support the achievement of the facility’s business goals and objectives.
Core Duties and Responsibilities: ( Other duties may be assigned)
- Ensures that all maintenance activities in a facility are appropriately carried out.
- Keeps accurate records of all maintenance and service activities conducted and maintaining a cycle of the same.
- Maintains proper staffing levels to support plant operations.
- Recruits maintenance staff and evaluates their performances.
- Interacts with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all processes and systems in a facility.
- Complies with all safety norms and regulations set by the industry.
- Delegates work to subordinates and ensures the timely completion of the same.
- Prepares Material Requisitions, purchase orders and other documents for the procurement of spare and replacement parts
- Complies with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Assists technicians in repairs, maintenance, etc. as needed Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 – 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in maintenance and/or a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Must be forklift certifiable
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to work overtime when required, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to take call, including after shift hours, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in a high volume/high speed environment Must have excellent computer skills in Microsoft office products
Minimum Education/experience :
High School Diploma or GED with 2 – 3 years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to lift/move up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Must be able to climb, bend and stoop Mus t be able to see and hear.

Plant environment
Frequent exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
