THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION.
I CANNOT GUARANTEE ANY AMOUNT OF HOURS.
THIS WILL MOST LIKELY BE SUB 30 HOURS.
MOST HOURS WILL BE EVENING AND WEEKEND HOURS AND AS NEEDED DURING THE WEEKDAYS.
My name is Adam Shand, I have Cerebral Palsy. I am in need of a caregiver to work in my home and the community. Due to my cerebral palsy, I have limited mobility, I cannot walk nor bear weight. I need a caregiver capable of supporting me with everything like assisting me with my daily living activities, including transferring from my chair to my bed or in and out of my car, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene and Personal care (Changing Diaper), eating, cleaning, and getting ready for bed.
Assist me in ordering food from my phone and helping me eat or Prepare meals aligned with my preferences and keeping the kitchen clean if you cook in my home.
I don’t want a robot worker I want someone who can provide companionship and emotional support and foster a family like relationship.
I always ask that you the employee maintain accurate documentation of worked hours to ensure you are fairly compensated.
Be prepared to assist me with my mobility and transportation needs, including driving me to appointments or into the community.
You are joining an existing team, so I always ask for your support by communicating effectively on hours and days you intend on working or not working.
Experience:
No minimum experience required
Parents and folks with prior experience working with people with disabilities are highly desirable.
