Job Summary

Adam’s True Value is seeking dependable, customer-focused Store Associates to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to delivering the friendly, knowledgeable, hometown service our customers expect. Store Associates assist with product selection, maintain store appearance, and support daily operations to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance
• Help customers locate products and offer guidance on hardware, tools, paint, lawn & garden, and seasonal merchandise
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and accurately process cash and credit transactions
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain visually appealing store displays
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking shipments
• Support inventory control efforts, including restocking and cycle counts
• Mix paint and cut keys (training provided)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with team members and assist management with daily store operations

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Previous retail or cashier/POS experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic mechanical or hardware knowledge is a plus, but not required
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and store procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Bilingual skills are a plus

Schedule & Availability

• Flexible scheduling available
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays is required
