Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items, wine pairings, cocktails, and specialty drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of spirits, wine options, cocktail recipes, and beverage service techniques
- Support guest relations by providing personalized recommendations and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Maintain a thorough understanding of POS systems for efficient order processing and sales management
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences
- Culinary experience or food industry background is preferred to enhance guest interactions
- Beverage expertise including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling procedures
- Experience with serving in a fast-paced environment with a focus on guest satisfaction
